National Museum of the U.S. Army - 80th Anniversary of D-Day Screening
On June 1, join us at the National Museum of the U.S. Army for a special free screening of Sunken Roads to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Stay for a Q&A with the filmmakers and historian Joe Balkoski. The Museum is located near Washington, D.C. in Fort Belvoir, VA, where the 29th U.S. Infantry Division is headquartered. We hope to see many 29ers and their friends and families in the audience— it’s a privilege to share our film with you!

Remember D-Day Webinar
Sunken Roads director Charlotte Juergens will moderate a panel conversation about the upcoming 80th anniversary of D-Day. Representatives from museums and memorials will offer brief presentations about their institution’s 80th anniversary D-Day commemorations, followed by moderator questions and a virtual audience Q&A. Panelists will reflect on the role D-Day continues to play in American public memory, the challenges and possibilities of sharing D-Day’s story with new and younger audiences, and the different strategies memorials and museums use (and may use in the future) to honor veterans’ stories.
